The Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation exists to support regional hospitals to keep specialized care, advanced diagnostics, cancer care, etc., close to home.
Our communities have a strong philanthropic spirit. The funds we raise together keep our facilities as state-of-the-art as possible and supply our healthcare professionals with the equipment they need to provide excellent healthcare.
Why do Bruce Peninsula hospitals need money?
The cost of new medical equipment is the responsibility of each local hospital and its communities, and there is always a need for new and updated medical equipment. In fact, most medical equipment in our hospitals needs to be replaced about every seven years. Medical equipment is very specialized, and the technology is changing rapidly.
Providing up-to-date equipment is very important to help recruit and keep doctors and medical professionals in our community, which is a critical need on the Bruce Peninsula.
The Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation works in partnership with the Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary and the Wiarton Hospital Auxiliary to raise money.
